Weinberg Capital Partners continues to strengthen its teams with new hires

Weinberg Capital Partners has strengthened its teams with the arrival of four new employees. Alain Biquard and Salma El Hamdani have been recruited as Head of Development and Investor Relations and Compliance Officer respectively, to strengthen cross-functional functions. Marie-Astrid Bourquin and Bastien Le Sagère join the Eiréné team as Investment Director and Associate.

Alain Biquard joins the company as Head of Development and Investor Relations. His responsibilities include managing LPs in France and developing international business.

Alain began his career in auditing at Arthur Andersen in 1996, before joining Edmond de Rothschild Corporate Finance in 1999, where for five years he was involved in numerous M&A operations on small & mid caps in France. In 2005, he joined BAREP, Société Générale’s hedge funds subsidiary, to develop the institutional client portfolio.

In 2010, he joined Aviva Investors France’s external client teams, an activity he headed from 2017, for France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Israel.

Alain is a graduate from EDHEC and Paris-Dauphine University.

Marie-Astrid Bourquin is recruited as Investment Director within the Eiréné team. She is involved in the origination, execution and negotiation of transactions, as well as monitoring portfolio companies.

Before joining us, Marie-Astrid held the position of Director at Oaklins, a small & mid cap investment bank where she began her career in 2015, after an M&A internship at Crédit Agricole CIB. Over the past few years, she has been involved in around twenty transactions in various sectors (industry, software, B2B services, etc.).

Marie-Astrid is a graduate from Audencia Nantes.

Salma El Hamdani joins the company as Compliance Officer. Her role is to structure the company’s compliance operations.

Previously, she completed an internship as Compliance Officer at Novaxia Investissement and an apprenticeship as Financial Security Officer at Boursorama.

Salma is a graduate from Université Paris-Saclay and INSEEC Paris.

Finally, Bastien Le Sagère also joins the Eiréné team as an Associate. He contributes to the monitoring of portfolio companies and the search for new investment opportunities.

Prior to that, Bastien was an Associate in the M&A department of Crédit Agricole CIB, where he began his career in 2021, following an M&A internship at BNP Paribas CIB. He has worked on a number of transactions in various sectors (media, transport, aerospace, defense, etc.).

Bastien is a graduate from École Centrale Paris.
